Stories Within Photography is just that, photography with a story to tell. I specialize in nature photography, but I've found abstract, portrait, group photos, and even industrial scenes have their own stories to tell as well.

A World In A Ripple
The was a world in the fountain. Everything in it was backwards and upside down. It was all topsy turvy and wobbly. Trees curved and danced in the ripples and homes shook but never broke. The sun let it be there in that fountain, but direct sun took that world away. A tender balance seen between ripples but only at the right angles.
Lizards With Wings
In a land far away, lizards have wings. They're eyes resemble that of a common house fly. They tend to sit with they're legs splayed, completely relaxed, just enjoying the company of a baby beetle. The baby lizard bug here is Joe. Joe is awesome. Enough said.

A Macabre Funeral
Taken in my Backyard, August 1st, 2013
Today is the day the hive had two funerals, one well over due, and one still fresh. The queen couldn't make it, but she sends her regards to the brothers of the two foragers. The two men don't have names, they don't get the privilege of being an individual. No, no one is weeping for them. Business must go on. So the hive continues with two less works and a little more work to do.
The Stories Untold
The old adage rings to mind every time I see a good photograph: a picture is worth a thousand words. In my opinion, a great picture doesn't need words at all. A great picture has its own story to tell in the minds and through the eyes of everyone who views it. Whether it's an abandoned and rusted horseshoe on a rotted old stump, a common garden snail on a journey across the sidewalk, or even a person staring into the camera lens, every photo has a story. One day, I'll shoot a great photograph, one without a caption and without an explanation, but until that time, I will write for you the story within each picture I shoot.
